About the game
Terminal Turbulence is an isometric airport construction and management simulation. Design the airfield and multi-level terminals, configure air traffic control, sign airlines, and keep thousands of simulated passengers, staff, vehicles and aircraft moving.
Everything in the airport is simulated, and nothing fails silently: when something gets stuck, the game tells you where and why, so you can fix the cause instead of guessing.
Features
Build the whole airport
Lay out runways, taxiways, aprons, stands, hangars and fuel depots, then connect them to roads, utilities and a landside gate.
Multi-level terminals
Design terminals floor by floor, with check-in, security, gates, shops and baggage handling, and switch between levels to see how it all fits together.
Air traffic control
Configure ATC, holding points and runway use, and keep traffic flowing through changing weather and day and night.
Follow any aircraft
Select a plane and watch its turnaround checklist: jet bridge, deboarding, cleaning, catering, baggage and fuel.
Airlines that matter
Sign airlines with different business models. They negotiate, hold you to standards, and grow or leave based on your service.
Thousands of simulated people
Passengers, staff, vehicles and aircraft all move through the airport, with needs, complaints and good days and bad days.
Problems you can diagnose
Alerts, overlays and reports explain what went wrong and why, so a stuck process is something you can fix rather than guess at.
Grow from airstrip to hub
Progress through five stages, from a small airstrip to a major hub, unlocking larger aircraft and more runways. Manage your finances and loans along the way.
Built to be modded
A data-driven mod framework from day one, with Steam Workshop support at launch.
Original and stylised
Every airline, livery and aircraft is invented, in clean stylised art that stays readable at a glance.
Design pillars
- Airside is the centrepiece. Runways, taxiways, holding points and ATC are the most expressive things you build.
- A living airport. Events and disruptions have causes, give you information and offer responses.
- Airlines are business partners. They negotiate, have standards, and grow or leave based on your service.
- Readable at a glance, explainable in depth. Overlays and reports explain cause and effect.
Modding, built in from day one
Terminal Turbulence is designed around a mod framework from the very start, not bolted on later. Mods are data and assets, with no scripts needed, and Steam Workshop will be available at launch. The game itself uses the framework: it ships with a small Halloween mod that adds:
- Two themed airframes
- A ghostly airline
- Two music tracks
- A glowing pumpkin you can place in your airport
It's both a seasonal treat and a working example for anyone building their own.
